Currently, many of the websites are still under construction. THE PARISH COUNCIL is a consultative body which ministers to the pastor for the good of the parish. The council is intended to be a model for the other parish organizations and attempts to identify and meet the needs of the people of the parish. The Parish Council is in the process of being reformed. LITURGICAL MINISTRIES THE LITURGY COMMITTEE promotes and coordinates matters of worship and spiritual development. The committee generally meets once a month with additional meetings as necessary. EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION assist the priest at mass with distribution of Holy Communion. They also bring the Eucharist to the homebound. LECTORS proclaim the Word of God at mass giving spirit and breath to scripture. ALTAR SERVERS assist the priest to ensure the smooth flow of the Liturgy. They serve at Sunday masses, Stations of the Cross during Lent, and at other special celebrations. THE MUSIC MINISTRY serves to enhance the experience of those attending mass. The music, through vocal and instrumental expression, deepens the experience and prayerfulness of the Liturgy by helping to tap into the emotional element of prayer. HOSPITALITY MINISTERS greet parishioners and visitors as they enter the church, take up the collection, direct the movement of people (such as for receiving Communion) and look after those with special needs.
